Found this online. Great site. And thanks for the link to *Terramia*. She just did another post on Horse art. Some more beautiful pics over there.
Found your site a few days ago. I know this is an old post, but I’ve been trying to go through everything you have on here. Just fantastic… all of it.
Are you familiar with Patricia Powers? Her art is stunning, really. Not only are her paintings very realistic, but she has a way of capturing the essence of a horse like no one else I’ve seen. She often paints horses doing high-level equestrian things, yet does so without the humans or tack that clearly had to be present. She also happens to be a very nice person as I’ve corresponded with her inquiring about a couple of works. Some day, when I have enough disposable income, I hope to be able to afford a painting of hers. The tough part would be narrowing it down to just one! When she does a show, which is usually on the East Coast, some of her profits usually go to some animal organization as well. She has a couple of exhibitions going on right now I believe. She also has a site where anyone can purchase reproduction prints as well. One of my favorites is “Capriole” which I imagine is awesome to see in person in all its 9′ X 12′ glory, but for now will just have to be happy with my note card-sized reproduction.
