The Northern Horse blog has a great story about a wild foal being rescued from a shoal in the Red Deer River in Alberta. Link (with better pictures!) via Wild Horses of Alberta.

Police detain horse over stolen car »
omg, poor tiny thing!
what a good story…
Wow, I’ve been to Red Deer. Didn’t even occur to me there would be wild horses there. Sure glad they were able to save little River.
Cool blog. Visit mine at http://techappy.blogspot.com/ and if you like it, please link to me, and I will do the same for you!
That poor little baby. Must have been so frightened.
A wonderful story that still leaves me wondering:
Where’s the mare?
Did he get enough colostrum?
Can someone leave me a link to other photos, please? Thanks.
