George Stubbs at the Frick Collection

3 01 2007

Haymakers, 1785

The Frick Collection in New York City will be hosting an exhibition of Stubbs’ work from February through to May. This will be the only North American venue for these paintings. Stubbs, as you know, was renowned for his depictions of English rural life, including many famous equine portraits; if you’re going to be near Manhattan this spring, don’t miss it!

As a horse-painter myself, Stubbs is really a hero to me :P!
