OK, this sounds like fun but I’m new so how do I find this place? I’ve not had the most success with locating other horse blogs.

Thanks for adding this post. I am excited about this carnival. I am hoping we can really get this going. I would love for you to host the second carnival. I think the second Horse Lovers Blog Carnival will be on Feb. 7th. What do you think? Is that too close the the first one?

Excellent! I believe I will submit a post also. The Cat Blogger at the Houston Chronicle blogs about the Carnival of Cats, and I often visit it. They have their Carnivals once a week, but the Horse World doesn’t have as many blogs yet, so once a month might be better. But I’m on board.

Mona: I definitely want to host the next one, but Feb 7th may be a tad soon; we want to build up people’s appetites a little. 😉 Perhaps the 21st or thereabouts?

I guess the 7th is too soon. How about the 14th or 21st. Let me know what you think. We could make this a once a month or a 2 a month thing. What do you think? I am open for suggestions.

OK, I’ve been thinking. (Does anything good ever follow a statement like that?)

Let’s do the next one on the 7th, and I was thinking we could maybe have something of a Barbaro theme: thoughts on Barbaro, articles about lameness/vet stuff (there are a couple of farrier blogs in my blogroll), owners’ own experiences with sick and injured animals, etc. What say you all?

So the posts we would be requesting would have to do with horse health or specifically lameness? I think it’s hard to find active horse blogs already we don’t want to limit it to much. So if we did the theme dedicated to Barbaro then we could just do a general horse health theme. The categories (which I just discovered what they meant on blog carnival by categories) could be Lameness, Colic, Feeding, etc. What do you think?

I think that might work, and if it doesn’t, we just try again. 🙂 I can’t WAIT until Tuesday to see what everyone’s submitted. Is there any way you can see how many posts have been submitted?
